剛剛在MINA (http://bbs.mina.com.cn/viewthread.php?tid=48648&extra=page%3D1)上看到的, blogger說對此感觸很深....
而我也是的....我想我們都會....也都曾有過這些經驗呢!! 還好有些事已過去了...

不知道为什么，第一次看到这句话的时候就被感动得一塌糊涂。
因为看似决然的这么一句话却不知是包含了多少的痛苦和无奈的。
“喜欢”本是让人会不经意间心生甜蜜的一种心情，可是当这种心情只出现在其中一方的身上的时候痛苦与无奈的出现就在所难免了。

喜欢一个没有任何回应的人，是寂寞；
喜欢一个早已喜欢别人的人，是无奈；
喜欢一个根本就不认识的人，是等待；
喜欢一个恨着你的人，是无望；
喜欢一个莫须有的人，是空待；
喜欢一个……

总之喜欢一个“不喜欢你的人”，就一定不会是幸福。

喜欢了一个和自己有缘却注定是无份的人，

=)喜歡! 平井堅的歌聲總是讓人有很soothing,很日本的感覺呢!! 尤其他每次都把暖暖的鼻音拉得長長,再配上背景豐富的管玄樂,完全能帶出春之戀情的溫馨細膩外加往日分離時的點點憂傷!! 聽著這首歌,突然有自身在日本草原的錯覺: 彷彿微微春風飄過, 空氣中交雜著泥土和新草的味道, 腳下河水淳淳流過的聲音, 戀人在遠方嘻笑著, 相約一起面對未來的悲歡離合. 平井先生真不虧是情歌王子啊!!

歸心似箭的驚險除夕! (Returner's journey on a reckless new years' eve)

So I started out my busy school day this noon, heading up to campus in my bus. casu. heels/suits thinking that the weather's not too bad (as in at most ---Rain~)

Turns out when I got on the mt., it's snowing big on campus! I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever seen white blinding snow dancing in the winds!

After 3 hours (this is approx. 4pm in the afternoon, when the SFU website said that transit is no longer running, and I was about to say 'goodbye' to my family's precious chinese new years eve), when we finally realized that the snow is not getting any smaller and actually behaving completely the opposite. We thought to ourselves, "This is going GREAT!"

All of a sudden, we became too rushed for words, as we headed to the parking lot for her car - Toyota (Four wheels drive)

(Thanks sooo much to her!!! I don't think I'd ever be able to get off that hill w/o her and her poor car that groaned several times coming down the hill, and of course thanks to her dad/family/friends who supported us with numerous phone calls to make sure we're still living and not lost somewhere in the wildersnow!)

So that distance which normally only takes an average student a 5 mins drive (WMX to University Drive) really took us one dangerous hour: after seeing 5 accidents (3 very serious ones w/ bent metals!), several moments of slipping on ice (althu we're already driving at L-gear & locked wheels), numerous moments when we felt like "no, this is it. that car's gonna hit us!", and of course the constant debate of whether to park and walk up or continue!

Ends up that we safely got off the mountain (entering into Vancouver than Richmond, than Delta for me) after a total of 3 hrs drive. Despite the long hours, I am sooooo glad I'm home to enjoy a chinese new years meal w/ dearest family and friends, and probably some homework (call me nerdy but homework now looks exciting and fun) and a good night sleep. And most of us, I am so glad I'm not sleeping at SFU's Gym right now, w/ blankets, sleeping bags, water and food provided by campus! But please do bless those of my friends still stuck on campus. I really hope they're OK.

I am sooo thankful for my friend, her family and her friends (and of course Lord for watching over us deep in my heart). Seriously, I find my friend so brave and determined and kind to drive us through the snow!! Once and for all, a huge...

THANK YOU!!!! *hearts*

Recently I am still very much engaged with ------- GACKT (hahaha, no surprise there)~

And yes I do promise this is the last time I'll be on computer for fun until exams are over (next Saturday).

I really like his personality, his songs or should I say compositions, and of course his appearance. I wish I know him and work with him and become friends with him. He's always so hard-working, dedicated and goal-oriented -- all the things that I aim to be. And of course the other side of his personality attract me a great deal too (the cold/distant/egoistic side -- is this good at all ?! o_____o)

Yes, this is my understanding of Gackt.

His Career: He is a successful artist in Japanese music industry. He used to be lead singer from Malice Mizer - a popular gothic J-rock band in the 90s. He made his first single debut in late 90s, kicking off his career as single male artist. His friends performing with him on stage are called Gackt Job. In his career, he has made a reputation in japanese entertainment industry for having unique personality. In 2007, he has acted in renown Japanese traditional drama - Fuurin Kazan. After years of hardwork, his most recent single (from Jun 2007) has earned him the first place on Oricon for Male Artists Singles. (Oricon is the renowned Japanese music hitlist.) His new album will be coming out in a few weeks this winter.

In Person: Alongside the fact that he is hardworking, dedicated and goal-oriented to get to where he is right now. He, like a lot of J-rock or even just rock artist, is known for having "unique" personalities. He is mysterious. Despite how much he talks about his huge home, no one, except his close friends, knows where he lives. Compared to many Japanese artists, he does not make appearances on television shows much; however, on the other hand, he seems to be extremely wealthy like a lot of j-rock stars..(probably from investments and other projects...). He is said to not have a girlfriend for over 10 years, due to his very high standards!!! =P He is said to sleep only a few hours a day (like ranging from 2 - 4....man....who does that!) He doesn't like to look at mirrors because he doesn't like the reflection in the mirror starring at him. He wears strong clone simply because this way he doesn't like smelling other smells (including from other people). In the most recent TV show he's been on, he confirmed the fact that he carries 4 cell phones with him everyday and has like 5 humidifiers at his house! Alongside that he said he has a Martial Arts Gym on the first floor of his house and has a personal martial arts instructor to assist him in daily training.

Responses: Most people (i.e. my sister and my friend)'s response to this is that "man, this guys is weirdly egoistic!" And yes, I think that is exactly why his favorite clone is Chanel's Platinum Egoist. Because in a way....that's him!

THE RECENT THOUGHT...

So recently, I got the most addicted to Platinum Egoist too. I wouldn't say that this is not because of Gackt, but truely this is not only because of Gackt. After smelling it for the first few times (at this point not considering wearing it b/c I'm a girl...), I became pretty addicted to the smell. After much debate, I finally bought it and start wearing it (finally gotten over the fact that girls can wear clone too.........thu still iffy weird in a way...). Anyhow, I couldn't resist.

However, I've been a huge believer about how smell describes a person, and this concept made me realize recently that......you know...maybe I also have that egoist within me! Most people who know me know I am very approachable, understanding and friendly, which is a completely contradictory to an egoistic image. Yet, after much thought about myself, I realize in a way, I am very egoistic. I am very individulistic. I have my own thoughts and philosophy in which I follow. I have my own goals and dreams to catch and aim for. I could be very stubborn at times. Maybe the reason why I am addicted to Platinum Egoist is because the clone/perfume captures that essence of me. And to push the concept further, maybe the reason I often get attracted to "unique" guys like Gackt (thu just a celebrity) is b/c they reflect that essence of me....!

To confirm my random theory, I took a look at my hotlist from Facebook (as follows):

And I realized, from Gackt, Creme Brulee and Paris, to Chanel Platinum Egoist, Steinway and Blackberry. This definitely represent the egoist and luxurious side of me ---- always aiming for the finest and most delicate things!!! Wow, in a way ...I still think this is quite freaky!!! Hehe....but it's all me ;)

New semester, new beginning, new start, new life! My life (if not yet, my energy/emotion) seems to reflect this recently. I seem to be able to find myself again, and (as I would say) ever since last church gathering. Right now, I feel much more balanced, and knowing where I want to be and what I want to do. Although (at the same time) I am picking up a bit slowly, I am still very happy to be able to pick it up at all.

For sharing: I'm researching some German hotels recently due to class - Intermediate to Deutsch. I found this pic super pretty. I never knew sunset could be this color in Germany (although I'm willing to bet there has been some sort of photoshop). However, the colors of the sunset in here reflecting over the pool just seems to bring a sense of peace to my brain, even when I am just staring at it. Hope this pic brings peace to you as it brings to me.

So yesss...it's exam time *tears* which means trying to fool around and procrastinate less, but this doesn't mean to cut down the fun's at dinner table!

And this is what happened today....my goodness..sooooo hilarious...that it's not just worth the post, but worth being there and see haha!

A Bit on the Background:
Soooo recently both me and my sis got addicted to another mandarin soap series called (in dir. translation) "Change Change Love" (換換愛 starring 楊丞琳, 賀軍翔 & 王傳一). The story (although just in running its first three episodes in Taiwan) is mainly about a very very ordinary girl (like any other girls) is living such an ordinary life - part time jobs, going to university, no love life, and unfortunately also with a very poor family suffering from heavy debts. The girl luckily in the weirdest circumstance was out selling coupons for a shopping centre, and the girl's friend made her a bet in which she has to try and date the 10th guy she sold the coupons to. And like all Cinderella stories, the 10th guy she happens to me was the young CEO of the shopping centre! And the story doesn't end here, she ends up meeting both the CEO and his brother, and of course, both of them fell in love with the ordinary girl (or at least will be)! Want to hear more about this, be sure to wait for the 4th episode~

So I told my sis that I end up downloading the opening and ending themes of the series just today, w/o mentioning which series. And she said (very out of context and very random), "huh wut series? u mean "Spin Spin Love" (轉轉愛)? " (as the two words - turn and change, can be interchangeable in Mandarin in some circumstances, but in this case, she just happened to remember it wrong =P)!

And soooo I cracked up and made fun of her that it's "Change Change Love" not "Spin Spin Love", and then I made the most random movements - I started spinning my upper body while sitting at the dinner table eating my ice cream. And my sis cracked like crazy, and was like "What on earth are you doing?"
And I was like "Well you said 'Spin Spin Love', so I'm spinning *whee*"!!!

And we laughed soooo hard that eventually my mom started to join the convo while cleaning up the kitchen. So we performed our convo to her again, and she, obviously didn't knw we're watching Soaps during my exams period, was like "What's 'Spin Spin Love'?" And she continued very innocently and still trying to make sense of what we are doing, "Is it like that you have to change your point of views sometimes when you are in love?"
By this time, we are laughing sooo hard at how random our conversation is and how it actually continues....even right now...I still feel like "Wow, Amazed!"

So after hearing so much about Hana Kimi (taiwanese soap opera based on Japanese comics), I finally decided to try it out. And the result of that....ummm...I really don't know whether to describe it as disaster or a fortune!

Fortunate (?): Not having fallen mad for a celebrity in ages (the last one being years ago with RAIN), Hana Kimi made me in love w/ 吳尊!!! OMG!! He is sooooo cute!!! (And I'm glad that this time I'm not the only person saying this amongst my friends and other ppl - lol~ as he is soooo famous in TW right now.) So a little about 吳尊: he is from Brunei, with Chinese backgrounds. He went to school and got his BBA in Australia. He now owns fitness studios (2?) in Brunei, and is both a model and actor in TW. He likes to blog (yessssss!!) And he likes to eat, and this is widely known among his fans and his co-workers lol!!! In fact, people often makes fun of him for eating too much!! (haha~ more jokes about this later..) He has stared so far in series - "Eastern Juliet" and "Hana Kimi", which is about a girl who is willing to go to a guy school in order to attend same classes and live in the same dorm as the guy she likes. (And yesss..eventually they fall in love, like all soap operas haha)~

Disastrous (?): I'm starting to stay online tooo long just to watch 吳尊, and often this means forfeiting my sleeping times and studying times (and not to say AIESEC times *sigh*) ----> like now! And wutsmore --- it's soon to be exam time =(. Okay, this is it!! I better make a stop to this at least for today~

Note for the Day: Stupid Youtube, I wanto post youtube stuff onto my blogspot, but it won't let me connect the two sites ever since I changed my blogspot loggin to google loggin =(. I'm soooo confused. I need computer geniuses *tears*

Another Life...

Life's been okay recently =)
....Came back from awesome NC.
....Worked at my student job for one last week.
....Just started my co-op job.
....Doing lots of AIESEC work.
....Getting me on track & on top of things.

Yes, so me& my family started madly singing on Sunday night despite the fact that three out of the four of us have to get up to work the next day. However, I came across this song by SHiN named "Love, Even at Death". And it totally reminded me........

Have you ever thought about what life you would lead if you aren't living in Canada right now? Maybe I'm just too bored because I have, especially after this conversation I used to have with one of my friend a long time ago. He moved from England to Canada at a young age, and he said he would be like a skytrain/subway driver if he was still in England right now. Lol~ yes, I think it's hilarious. But that did make me think about what I would be and what kind of life I would lead if I was still in Taiwan right now....And I finally figured it out when I heard this song on Sunday...

I would be a really bad girl. I would probably be a drop-out from highschool - joining gangs, fighting in the streets, car/motorbike racing, drug dealing, singing at bars, loving a gangsta! Yes, I know this just sounds ridiculously scary, especially to people who think I am super sweet. But the fact is if I did stay in Taiwan, I would totally hate their education system in which everything is about memorization and developing students. And then I'll get frustrated with school. And then there is the part of me which has passions for adventures and is totally willing to risk my life for things.....Yes, bottom-line is I'll probably end up in the streets or end up marrying into a gang or something lol!

So, after picturing that entire idea.....ummm...let's just say I'm pretty glad I'm in Canada, studying at a great university, starting out in my careers, being in AIESEC - the best organization/club ever and meeting so many friends who care about me!

So today..I'm into my first week of holiday (looking onto second week)~
I'm quite happy as despite some injuries and some other mishaps..I have started most of the thing I wanted to do!

Mishap:
Yes my eye injury....this took away abt 4 days of my holiday!! (thu some good resting time to compensate for lack of sleep from the semester lol~)
And some other minor stuff ...too minor to remember whee!!

I watched the second 1/2 of it tonite~ wow...those girls are so sexy!! and gosh they do sale those lingeries haha~ ....make me wanna buy them lol~

Life has been fun + busy...
Yet, i'd hav to say first (as me and kat discussed).....last semester I thought it would hav been the worst eever....but it turns out -- this semester is by far worse than last one lol! Funny I can still laugh abt this....
The thing is....last semester at least I somewhat cared abt what I was doing.....and this semester I cant even put my mind to do anything!

Anyhow...enough abt that..

tonite i watched a movie w/ my family (well more like my mom wanted to show me and my sis that movie)!....it's abt a Spanish mom & her daughter moving and adapting to U.S. life....
in a way the movie reminded me of me & my mother and us adapting to life in Canada....

not too long ago (well Friday nite), me and my mom got into somewhat of an argument (thu it's not totally that...b/c I rarely speak a word when we dispute and argument is more both sided)....the argument was abt me getting home late & drinking...

In my view...I can clearly see why she's mad.....she's mad b/c she cares (she cares if I got in danger...she cares like every mom would for her daughter...she cares like I would if I had a daughter)
I can clearly see why it's hard for her to understand, why I didn't choose to explain to her instead of keeping silent.....
b/c when she was young..driking wasn't part of partying/socializing.....it would be almost useless for me to tell her no club in our school or any uni does not drink at parties.....
it was hard to tell her that I understand how dangerous it is for me to be alone out at nite in the street.....and so hard to let her knw I hav to do this sooner or later in my life....
and even more than that ....it's so hard to let her understand that she has always been my model that I look up to despite that reality I hav to be diff from her in some way.....simply b/c I adapt to Canadian life differently than her b/c of my age and where I grow up....

Watching the movie (really her making us watch the movie), I felt rily sad....b/c I knw what she is trying to tell me b/c I just dunno how to tell her w/o hurting her the fact that "I wanto be like you mom, but I am diff from you....."

It's so hard so hard.....and I rily should just step out of my comfort zone....I rily just should.....

hehe~ busy week ...busy busy recently :) but I can still spare sometime to update my blog (thu I rily shouldnt thu *hehe*)
So this is gonna be a random post!! (like me rily~~)

*News*
1) Lots of assignments/school stuff due next week!!

2) Lots of hanging out w/ friends this month (I ENJOY! YEAH!)

3) I bought a new purse from ----- ALDO!! (I made the sales person gave me a discount *hehe* + a large WOOT to my negotiating skills!!)

4) But so comes w/ above...I'm rily rily broke...to the point I've taken in ppl's advice abt not taking my debit card around no more.......<--- this is wise!!!

5) I'm doing yoga before I sleep now ---> another big WOOT!!

6) After not sleeping at all on Sunday nite trying to finish a paper, I've been sleeping earlier for the past two days (not yet a woot lol~ ...but if this continues, then my life is rily back on track!!)

7) So in general, I'm happy so far w/ the catching up on hw & at the same time arranged outings w/ friends = very balanced life style (for now~~ happy !!)

One thing she mentioned today (while watchign a commercial for tv show called 3lbs): "Maybe next time I gain weights I can tell myself that it's b/c I'm gaining brain cells!" ---> my face: 0____0

One thing I mentioned today in the car on our way for a flu shot (from last X-Mas Bell Mobility Commercial): "I'm the ghost of the Christmas past.....this yr you will get ur wife ...a car phone...uhhhh ahhhh!!!" & she would continue "You know we have TV phones now??" & I say "But it comes w/ a shoulder strap uhhhhh ahhhhhh!!!" -----> our parents' face: 0_____0

Now to share is one song I've been addicted to recently....I dunno why I actually received this song sometimes ago...Upon receiving, I liked it: it almost feel like I can see the starts of the hustle and bustle of (London) city street corner as the early morning sun pierce thru the morning dew and fog....In the corner, there's a coffee shop where the entering customers are gradually beginning to line up for an early morning doze... A pedestrian walks by....A distant horn honks...Yes, I enjoyed the song b/c of the image it brings, but it wasn't enough to make me addicted...

What got me addicted now....is rily the words "Coming in from the cold...". Probably b/c I've been freezing recently (literally freezing...in fact just 2 hrs ago, I got a bruise for no reason on both of my palms ...just underneath my thumb ...and my argument was that my veins are a bit too weak in this cold weather that the slightest pressure could fracture them and cause bruises!) Anyhow...I think it's b/c of the weather that made me somewhat personally experience the feeling of "Coming in from the cold"!!! And most likely one day, this song randomly began playing on my ipod.....these words totally captured me!! And then I got addicted haha!!

I think this post will make more sense if I talk abt Catherine the Great first lol~ but o well...
And so.....probably due to all those BUS272 assessments I've been doing & of cours, AIESEC's Challeng Ur World View session & some chinese aricles/proses I've been reading....I've been thinking abt myself today (Oct.31/06)......as a 19yr old girl..what hav I accomplished?...did I accomplish all I've wanted to accomplish?....wut's in store for the future?...how do I get there?......how will all these impact the world?....how do I fit in terms of my goals and other ppl?...how do I fit in society in relation to other ppl?....is all these what I rily want?...do I have any regrets?......

It turns out....in a way, I am somewhat satisfied w/ what I hav now...and somewhat knw where I am heading for the future and my impact on the world and ppl around me.....
Yet, in a way...thu I usually say I have no regrets...I knw that is not true.....b/c unconsciously I still dun wanto grow up!! (haha how I knw?! *wink*...dun laugh at me on this......I still hug my stuff animals *muahaha*--- wen I walk around my house!!!)

And so, this is why this post's title is "That Little Girl"! I still hav that little girl in me....and for somehow I knw - I can never get rid of it! Thu in the future, I may not be hugging stuff animals....or even I may accomplish lots in my life.....it is so likely this girl will appear once in awhile just to let me knw that she's still there!! What's more....I dun even knw if I should get rid of it lol!

However, after chatting w/ Kat & my family.....I felt much better knwing that I'm not the only person who doesnt wanto grow up lol~ Yes, at least I'm not alone in this haha~ Thx lots to Kat & my family!

Halloween!

For some reason, this Halloween is special...or at least is meant to be special...
Over the past week...(and as I've complained quite alot as some my friends mite have experienced....) I've been very excited/anxious/anticipat-ed as to what to do for Halloween. I guess the reason is I haven't celebrated Halloween for 3-4 yrs. I literally cannot remember when is the last time I went out treat-or-trick-ing. I've never done fireworx before (& rily wanna try). I've never been to a Halloween house party...and so on and so on...

This Halloween I rily wanted to do something instead of chilling w/ my textbooks =S But my hopes for "doing something" this Halloween was soon crashed when in the morning I realized that once again....I HAVE NO PLAN!! (but funny...I was stilll pretty excited and jumping up and down in the morning haha)
And of course, there is never only one bad news....always more, as later I learned that I got very bad on my Econ midterm....

However, I guess wen a person is pushed to a super depressed stage....some chemical w/in their body starts to make them act crazy...and feel happy! (lol~ i knw this is one weird theory...and maybe I'm just weird..b/c this happens to me! Wenever I am way too depressed...I appear way too happy or in somewhat of an ecstatic crazy jumpy state!! )

And so I was in this ecstatic state on Halloween...and in a way, it is a good thing..at least it allows me to look at situation in a more optimistic way lol~ Several things brightened my day here and there...amonst them were AIESEC Faci-roll -call song, RAIN, good food etc. lol~ But the thing that really brighten my day was the group of lovely kids treat-or-trick-ing in MBC !!

Omine~ They were all dressed up in different animal or cute suits in general. It's so enjoying watching little bear, little monkey, little bird so on and so on pass by!! My favourite got to be that little pumpkin sitting in the baby carriage! Furry round and orange....entirely make me wanto hug it!! (thu I'll probably freak him/her out and make him/her cry haha) And what's more, this little pumpkin had entirely no idea wut he/she's doing, and basically stared at us w/ his/her huge brown eyes!!! JUST AMAZINGLY CUTE!!!

Thu I have to say...I'm not a typical kid lover (as even my family agrees w/ me on this...wen in comparison to them haha), but I guess it's the fact that these kids are dressed in furry suits which makes them look like stuff animals that rily made me "awwwww-ing" this entire time (& mainly kept my mind off the fact that I'm not having a superb day haha)!!!

Hehe, as of now....I'm still pretty happy...no more regrets for Halloween!! Though I didn't party or celebrate it myself....but the day was highlited wen I saw those cute stuff-animal-like kids hehe!!

I really wanto share my reflections abt one of the SFU gallery photo exhibition sometime ago...(I always meant to blog abt this...but never did...)

Unfortunately I don't even remember what was the name of the photographer >.< (since it's been such a while) I only remembered him as being quite famous in U.S. (New York etc.)

To say the truth...I don't know how everyone feel abt SFU gallery. I personally heart it quite lots =). I walk in once in a while (often sipping on my tea or orange juice -- just to release stress and shelter myself for a moment from the outside world)...and so that day (after a midterm I believe), I notice there's a photo exhibition (& hope everyone knws ...I love photography..thu I have no talent myself lol~)..I walked in, expecting it to be some rily rily pretty scenery photos of New York (was it? I can't remember the exact location that was portrayed in the photos actually..)

To my surprise, it really wasn't pretty scenes...but more of a moment capture of diff ppl's lives of the city. The first photo near the entrance started w/ a exotic kiss from Marilyn Monroe in the streets of New York (Now I'm pretty sure it is New York lol...I think this is the rather famous photo that most ppl have seen sometimes at malls/on posters and tvs sometimes in their life). This photo really lured me into the gallery, thinking the exhibition will be all pretty ....

The next photo that followed was focused on a loving kiss between a couple amongst the crowd of people watching fireworx. The blooming of fireworx, brightening the sky, created a huge contrast yet harmony with the kissing couple. The picture was sweet altogether. The photos which followed start to look different: one w/ a firetruck and a group of firemen putting out an apartment fire, one w/ ppl in the streets breaking into fight, one w/ ppl in the streets asking for change, one w/ a circus performer sleeping in a crowded rest area(?) and much more.. These photos in a way frightened/shocked me, being so different from the kissing photos...

After walking around the gallery again and again, I stopped by to read the commentary section from the photographer. Though I do not remember every words from the commentary, but this I remembered and still do vividly....as the photographer said something like this, "I love New York in a way no one can understand. It is a city where a night can begin with a kiss at one place and somewhere in another part of the city, there are people experiencing an entirely diff life...."

After reading the commentary, I made lots of reflection abt life (what it means for me and for everyone else in this world...) It made me felt lucky to be where I am in this city instead of some other parts of the city. It made me hold gratitudes for many things! ....For real, the trip in the gallery was like an eye-opener for me! I'd say it's like a personal "challenge ur world-view session" lol~

Haha~ now I rily need to find my TA lol~ ciao =)

Stripped Equilbrium

Finally a post ...and most likely going to be abt random thoughts I've been having as of today :)

So as everyone knw (mostly everyone...due to facebook and my frequent chats w/ ppl..) my life has been in complete chaos in the past weeks (or months..let's just say..)...many things (from Career Days, to conference..to coop....to work...to BASS/BMP...to school...to family and friends..) passed by...each giving me random thoughts and experiences....
and now the more I think of it and abt why my life has been in such a chaos is b/c..I've been missing something along (ever since last semester) --- Bible Study & more of this building relationship and restoring inner peace through my belief in Christ!

I don't think I've ever talked to any of my friends or even my family (w/ the exception of my mom who is equally or even more devoted than me) abt my belief, mainly b/c I'm just not a preaching type of person who can open so easily abt these what i consider rather personal matters......But yes, as you all know now...I am a devoted Christian (or I would like to be)...and why I say so....will be explained =)

As I have said...throughout the summer 4 months semester, my life somewhat slipped into its chaotic ways....there's just so much stuff happening at school/at work/at clubs/with family & friends.....just face it..I've been stressed out and in general falling behind in everything....
Attending WRC has made some part of it better :D ...but I'd have to say...it only restored my love for AIESEC and not my entire lifestyle...
But w/ the beginning of bible study this semester...(since last week rily)..I've calmed down lots and once again in controll of my life (or should I say ..I stripped off and submitted the burden of my life and everything once again in Lord's care and grace ^_^). This is really an experience: though I'm not quite catched up completely yet, but confidence/sense of direction/optimism are re-emerging! This is when I realized how important restoring my relationship w/ Christ has been to me!

I know I may sound geeky at times saying this, but at every Bible Study I am able to emotionally and mentally strip myself (funny word to use eh *wink*....the word just popped up in my mind at Bible Study today when I thought abt my emotional/mental state of being at the time as compared to Christina Aguilera's album...and really figure this is the best word to describe my feelings lol~). At every Bible Study, I am able to restore inner peace, reflect on my life (not just my goals or where I am at....also on my personal and some ethical values and of course everything else). At every Bible Study, I am able to look at where I am at...where I have to go, and often grow this constant awareness that Christ is always here w/ me in every step of my life..and there's nothing to worry abt. It is always at every Bible Study, I realize every step/opportunity I take in life ..it is my responsibility that I do it (best) to glorify Him.

And it is w/ this inner stability I'd say that I wish everyone who knws me (or readers of this blog) to find the same wellness in their lives =) (maybe not thru the same reasons/means..but I still wish the best to all~)

O man..I still rily wanna ramble on abt some thoughts I've had while I was at SFU art gallery 2 semesters ago...or one semester ( I can't remember lol~)...but pooey..I'd have to leave it till later as I am visiting my Econ TA very soon :(

Woosh~ Career Days finally wrapped up lol~ And now I can finally wrap up one stage of my hectic life recently :) (by first of all blogging it out haha~)

So Career Days came to a finale yesterday evening, ending with one (dun rily wanna swear here but..) "hell of a dinner"! In a way, I'm glad it wrapped up :), considering this has been really the main part of the reason of my sleep depriveness for this entire past month. And now really referring bac to the past month, I only have one word: ACK! (I guess this is the reason why yesterday's dinner, though killing my liver, might actually have been a good thing for me lol~ But more on this shall come later!

Right now, I would really wanto use this chance to THANK EVERYONE who lend a hand to me in allowing me to finish my responsibilities for Career Days! These do not just include my volunteers out there, but also all of my friends (those who have helped me w/ assignments, let me copy their notes, or even just supported me in one way or another) and my family (for putting up w/ me most of these whiles). I understand not all of you may read my blog; however, still thanks to you all. You know who you are out there!

Now, to Career Days and my dinner :) As you all know, I am still somewhat amazed that all these are over. In a way, I am really happy b/c this almost feel like wrappingup one stage of my life, and actually really it is haha (as I shall talk abt my near future plans later)~ To reflect back, I really learned a lot (i.e. how to network, reinforcing communication/organization etc skills, and really much more) , though I don't really know how to explain. But most of all, I feel like I've accomplished something :D, and that just make me feel so happy!

Despite all these happiness though, I am still somewhat melancholy over the fact that Anna is going back to England :( ...I'm not really sure I'd cry on Monday...but melancholy for sure. Being friends and working w/ her (and every single person of the OC) really made me realize some deep philophical theory (one can say) abt life: that how special it is in life to have the chance to interact w/ someone so diff from me and for such a short time, and yet have something to share and remember as we all move in diff directions onto our future. To Anna: I shall always remember u (& miss u)!! *MUAH* To all of us: Thank you for the past three months of wonderful times!! (And of course, I shall remember all of u <--- since I'll be seeing u all somewhat in the near future lol~)

Now to the dinner, (To Sal & Spencer: OMG, how much did I really drink last nite?! lol~You both really got me hammered haha~) I GOT HAMMERED, though I wouldn't say badly since I only realized the fact when I got home. And plus, I was still quite conscious the entire time (at the dinner, in my conversations etc) before I hit the hay; however, I wouldn't say it was fun too, considering I spent "only" abt 15 mins "facing the toilet" (dun wanto grouse anyone out here lol~ so u can guess wut I was doing) and had to wake up every hr or so in the nite to drink water to prevent some sort of hang-over in the morning lol~ (Thank god, it worked haha).

I think Sal said I had abt 4 cans of beers (i.e we shared 1 1/2 jug, and w/ me drinking abt 40% and him 60 haha) So as usual, I drank to the point I got tipsy, and maybe yesternite was special (b/c Sal said if your body is lacking sleep and food..you cant drink much...and unfotunately having had less than 7 hours of sleep in the past two days and only a piece of apple for lunch and some prawns for dinner...I was both)! So I got home at 8ish.....spent sometimes in the washroom and hit the hay straight and basically could not physically wake up! (lol~ It's really funny b/c Jessie tried calling me sometimes in between, and for real...I heard the rings but couldnt even move my hands to pick up....I seriously remember thinking to myself at that point...should I talk to her and sound all hammered..or just leeave it....and I left it ...)

Thank goodness I did wake up at 11ish, feeling much better...and was able to call Jessie and Sho back.. Afterward, I still went to bed (b/c I'm still somewhat tired), and didnt wake up until this morning at 8ish. So that's something to make up for my sleep depriveness haha~ And this is exactly why I said maybe getting hammered was in a way good for me lol~ And plus, now I at least know how much I should be drinking before I get hammered...(so something to watch out for at WRC haha)

However, through this entire time...I would really like to thank my parents thu...as for real I told them I only had one beer (oops~ wut a lie XD)..and I'm pretty sure they'd have to be stupid to believe in that XD. However, I really would thank them though....as seeing me drunk, there was disapproval in their eyes, but I could see and feel that the disapproval was directed more toward the fact that I'm ruining my liver/body, instead of over the fact that "OMG, my daughter is drunk!" (And one more thing that surprised me thu, I can chuck down pretty much for someone like my size lol~) But yeah, after all that...I'd still have to say: I'm still not a huge fan of beer...In comparison rite now, I think whiskey tastes nicer (i.e. by whiskey ..I meant Fireball...yes I knw Sal & Spencerl..u guys just dun picture me as a Fireball girl :P), but I don't know I just enjoy how it tastes sweet in the mouth and hot down the throat :).

Now, a bit of my future plans:
1) To catch up w/ homework/readings/assignments and do excellent in school! (This is really my main focus now, and really I am excited to begin!)
2) Co-op: apply for more jobs and try to set up the CRA job :D AWESOME!
3) AIESEC: Take on more responsibilities :D
4) Look into some enterprise stuff

haha~ I finally post something lol~ however, this post will rily be abt my passion for tango :)
Yes, b/c the post abt my hectic life rite now w/ school and career days will be long enough to be such a bore, I shall leave it to next week (after career days are done!)

Now though~ something abt regaining my passion for tango..
I just rewatched Moulin Rouge tonite, b/c I just had to. Last class at FPA 140 (intro into 20th century music), our prof showed us a portion of the movie (as I will soon attach using youtube), and I just felt like I have to watch this movie, this weekend lol. The story line as usual is the typical unrealistic love story, which I shall not talk abt.

However, this El Tango de Roxane rily enchants me! I love tango (thu I dunno exactly how to dance it, but it is certainly one thing on my agenda to learn ....even more so then swimming lol~) I love this hidden passion encompassed within the melody (mostly formed by the rich accompaniment of the string quaretettes and the somewhat forceful yet emotional staccatos on the piano or acoustics combined). I love the rather graceful yet sensuous footsteps of its dancers entwined w/in the rhythm of the mysterious melody.

For real, I LOVE TANGO IN GENERAL! In the past and still, tango is one type of music friends can always find in my ipod. Like now, I have three in my ipod lol~ (and as soon as I have time to find El Tango de Roxane, I shall add it to my ipod too haha~) But for now, enjoy the clip above :D~

hehe~ I should rily post about my holiday in Yellowstone Park, but that will be so long...so i'll save it for later :)
(One thing thu ... Geysers were pretty, the trip w/the only scenery of dry meadows was boring, the bisons were so cute :D:D, and despite the some nagging i got from my mom+sis ..spending time w/ family was AWESOME!!)
anyhow, more to come about holiday later :)

So summer's ending in two days for me rily..w/ the beginning of the hustle bustle school...and a semester of I dunno wut.....summer was a good one (w/ only itsybitsy regrets)!

Well yeah regrets being:
1) I missed fireworks
2) I missed going to the beach (but then again..does going to lake beaches count?! lol)
Yeah! only 2 rily~ but then those two are more like regrets of the past school yr...along w/ the I never took a proper pic of snow nor a proper pic of sakura T_____T ..so another goal to add on to the new school yr : I SHALL ENJOY AS A I STUDY!!

Summer was a good one thu :) lots of gatherings w/ friends....lots of I at least attempted to fulfill my responsibilities....lots of wrking lots....and lots of well-balanced life between enjoyment and wrk! Like now..or more like today, I must have read 8 volumes of Manga and also just finished watching Ocean's 12 + Kill Bill 2 :D whee~ happy~...And tomorrow to come is going to that Taiwanese festival thing w/ my family....and more to come for the last 2 days: room cleaning, email sending, Career Days stuff, co-op stuff & license study :)

The Manga:
The best ever (or one of the best ever). Don't know english name ..but it's about 2 music school students (one wanting to be a professional piano player and wanting to be a pro conductor), their relationships to each other and their relationships to other music school students....but those aren't the important prt...
What's important is....WOW~ w/ every moment of the manga, i can totally hear the music :D....yapyap~ the manga totally draw out my passion for music once more!! (not that I've ever lost it haha~) SO PRETTY!! oh~ and it totally reminded me of reading Bel Canto (which is another novel that made melody slipping out of those paper pages hehe :D)

The Movies:
Ocean's 12 :) definitely still one of my favs....beautiful guys + girls + soundtracks!

Kill Bill 2: actually I can't rily tell whether I liked it or no...I guess I appreciated the way how the film's put together. I remember my eng. prof used to say...it's such a modernistic film ...full of fragments (thu those may not have been her exact words...but it was something likee that...and she did compare it to the novel Anil's Ghost). Watching the film, it almost felt like the director put all types of styles to shoot a film into one film...(haha~ yeah it's rily hard for me to describe since i'm not a pro film critique...but wut i meant is that....in Kill Bill 2...this one film made me feel like I'm seeing a horror movie, a comedy, a tragedy, a comic and many more all at once!)
But I swear the funniest moment must have been when Uma Therman crawled out of the grave, struggling thru the dirt w/ one hand....all the way to when she struggled her way to get a cup of water from a convenient store ....OMINE! Me and my sis still cant help but crack up at that XD It's just so hilarious....and such a wonderful twist on horror films by making it so funny...

Anyhow now...I swear it would be smart of me to turn off this comp now and go to sleep before my mom comes upstairs and get mad....but of course..I'm still in the stage of resisting the fact I have to go back to school....and constantly convincing myself I should fool around more (by staying up late?!) before I actually do go back to school....
O well..considering that I am physically tired....I guess I rily should crash lol~

2) My mommy's back this Saturday or I should say last Saturday :D happy moments where she shares all her fun memories of going back...as we devour our presents or like I'd rather say the stuff I "wasted" more than $400 CN on (oops Q_____Q)...but all's good :D Nothing's better than having my mommy back safe and sound and w/ beaucoup interesting stories to share, after missing her for the last month!!

3) Oh and wrk!! Got to talk about wrk :) (hehee, this is rily my first time posting about wrk~~) Yeah, like always wrk is tiring....I think I almost twisted my neck today trying to find a chart (searching thru ONLY 2/5 of the entire chart bank >.<....thank god, this kind of situation dun happen too much ..only like once in a blue moon haha~)
But funny thu, I still love my wrk alot (to the nth power rily)!! It's is the only place I dun have to use much brain, can listen to ipod (well wen i'm relatively alone....just to clear up...I only do this b/c I'm not the only person doing it in the office~~), and listen to gossip (well not exactly gossip la~) But anyhow wrk's fun :D (I knw I just sound like a geek..but hehe it's fun being one sometimes~)
So wrk recently has affected me in two ways:

a) Addiction to Josh Groban's song/voice
So the story goes...a few of the girls brought a bunch of CDs to the office...one being Josh Groban....after listening to some of it for a while..I got it stuck in my mind...In the past I've always thought J.G has an amazing voice, ever since listening to him from I think Oscar..but I've never rily got the urge to d/l him lol~ But man after that day at the office....I crazily went home and d/l-ed two albums haha :D
My fav song is obviously the one on this blog "Mi Morena"....after I transferred all the song to my ipod...I finally got to listen to it one nite before I went to sleep....and god..now it's like stuck in my mind haha~ (yes, I got so emotional listening to it that I almost cried listening to it before I slept...not a good idea before sleeping haha~)
But then now...I'm still not quite sure what language he sings in...Greek? (ummm..dunno~) But wut can I say....WOOT ! AWESOME VOICE!!

b) Joining the fuss of watching Prison Break premier
haha~ all the girls today were talking about this....so wen the tv turned on today...I thought I mite as well watch it..or at least some of it....well, wut can I say after watching one episode...HOT GUY = HOT SHOW~ Althu I dun think i'll be watching every episode of it...but I will certainly try to watch some of it...so I can join the chats about it w/ the girls ^___^

4) hehe~ after all that blab about wrk....yes..I'm still craving that song by Santana - Maria Maria....especially the beautiful enchanting guitar in it :D...so plz if anybody have it :) send it to me (I shall certainly suck up to u haha~!)

5) B/c last semester's marks were so bad....sigh* I shall have to study starting now...sounds so bad doesnt it??! >.<

6) I think I need to ask some updates to that funny comic i'm craving rite now~ Anyhow...enough rambling for now :) ciao!

So today (or yesterday..since it is past 12 AM haha) has been the most wonderful day of this summer :D~~ And dedications and lots of thanks and hugs to Angelina, Nana and Ivy for making my day for me :), helping me to find myself and carry on in life.

Started out the exciting day at 11 doing a Grouse Grind w/ Angelina ^.^
Met at Waterfront, headed to Grouse Mtn, started out ....

In the first 1/2 hr, we took two rest breaks (due to my request haha) and chatted our way up the stairs about all kinds of topics from America's Next Top Model to others ~~ <--that's the fun fun period. By the time, I started to feel a bit tired (this is after the first 1/2hr)......we saw a sign -- "You are 1/4 way up" ....I swear that sign was bit discouraging and left my face blank like this Q_____Q and my mind thinking..."gosh that was only 1/4 way!!!"

Then the trip starts to drag (kinda, due to that discouraging 1/4 sign haha) until I reach that 3/4 sign and got so excited that I actually yelled out to Angie who's 10 steps before me, "Angie, WE'RE 3/4 WAY!!" .....I swear I heard the other hikers laugh ....but then it is funny lol~ But yes, that period was such a challenge. I swear I took more than 15 rest breaks, while thinking to myself "gosh, this never ends" haha~~ It's funny though....I never once thought of going back down....and it's more like me telling myself "There's no way I am starting something and not finishing it" (Later, I thought - "wow, such determination" and I laugh)

One thing thu~ I never knew I could ever chat to strangers like that :)....Yes~ I received lots of encouragements from strangers, telling me that I'm doing an awesome job first time grouse grinding & that I'm almost there. I even encouraged one hiker who asked for positive feedback haha~ SO INTERESTING!!!

From Grouse Grinding, I learnt so much today about myself..that it's just amazing! I never knew I could undergo such a challenge and the pressure+stress that comes along w/ it, and continue to find the determination/stamina in me and go on~~ I never burst out once into tears or swore thruout the trip ^.^ What's even more amazing~~ I was happy and thankful that I've came the entire trip :D (althu my body is so tired at times that I just feel like I mite faint the next moment ...but all are restored after rest breaks~)

The rest breaks were amazing too~~I enjoyed sitting down..catching my breath...drinking some water and enjoying that scene + nature's rhythem. The golden sunlight peering into the greeness of the woods, shattering nature into a spectrum of colors with various multitudes of green ^____^ (pretty~) Quietness and serenity dominate the scene, while even one flying insect buzzing seems to first disturb the silence and then restoring nature's rhythem ^.^ (Just too wonderful~ hehe...maybe that's why I took so much rest breaks~)

So I think we finished in 1hr & 20 mins (since Angie said that we started at 12:25 and I noticed that we finished at 1:45) Yes wow~ even I'm amazed at that speed, considering I didn't do any training before this hehe & slept a bit late the night before hehe~ Last but not least....I wanto thank Angie for all of these. I swear if it wasn't b/c u'r w/ me (coming here w/ me despite ur stomach ache, always holding out a hand to me and waiting for me)...I don't think I would have been able to finish~~ Thanks Angie, You're so awesome, I love u :D:D (lots of hugs and kisses ^.^) Hope ur stomach ache gets better!!

And then I spent the afternoon (after 4:30) w/ Nana and Ivy till 10:00pm. at Sweet Obsessions (http://www.sweetobsessioncakes.com/). First it's an amazing cafe w/ amazing sweets (my fav) and amazing service (considering we literally sat there from 4:30 to 8 haha). It's so nice to meet up w/ the highschool crew :) (as proven by our prolong cafe sitting lol) There's just so much too chat about....where we wanna be in the future, our troubles now, news, ethical issues, lit, highschool memory, news from other highschool ppl, TV drama, food, girl stuff, cloth, grouse grinding, the rest of the summer, shopping ....and much more!!!

In one evening, they've helped me so much w/ wut I wanto do w/ my life, allowing me to regain my focus. By the end of the day I realize how much friends meant to me (not just the old ones that never leave my side when I always turn to them depressed or lost or confused, but also the newly-made who kindly reach out a hand when I need them). They play such a large role along w/ my family in forming me/my identity. They allow me to experience life in such an amazing way. So this entry is especially dedicated to all friends who read or not read this blog :) I love you all!!!

My Second Lit Outbreak :D (& everything else)

This, thu very related to wut I'll be blogging next ....it is also so different that I thought it should be on a separate blog ^>^ ( very related = some ideas came from today~)

1) So, as I picked up Lord Byron's poetry collection today (which I bought from once again SFU bookstore....haha yeah..this time I had fun buying course textbook from those students who probably really need the textbook more than me lol~ I should feel guilty shouldn't I haha?...o well..)...I made a plan for all the books I've want to read until the end of next semster:)

Here's how it goes:
by the end of Aug - finish that Lord Byron poetry colletion
September & October - Morrie & A Picture of Dorian Gray (if I spelt this right & if I'm able to borrow them from Nana once Ivy finds them in that black hole in her roomXD~)

(I shall be able to do this in the most spectacular fashion hehe~~)

Omy~ my analysis can go on and on....but before I bore anybody w/ this....this piece is just too good to resist lol~ Angie told me the play is coming to Vancouver....and the group doing the play is rily good~~ That totally made me to have the urge to so see it in real life :)

3)Something random:
I realized this wen i was just washing my face in my washroom.....I should really go get that "Tony & Tina - Vibration Remedy" perfume from Aberdeen (the only store that actually carries it now...eversince Tony & Tina ran out of business >.<.....something my sis and her friends would understand - they should rily have changed that company name to Tony&Cindy...then they would never be out of business XD) However, I'm so glad I'm going to Betsy-Jonson downtown tomorrow w/ my sister~ gotta get some of those pretty dresses while it's still on discount :D:D instead of that $300 - 500 per dress >.<

Wow...today's been a total relaxing day (compared to yesterday where I'd say I focused 99% non-stop cramming accting into my poor little puny brain...resulting in the highest rate of brain cell killing I've had this yr.....sigh* this is exactly wen I wish my brain is not so puny as it is lol~ But I'm so glad there's only one exam left now - Monday. I shall again start cramming tomorrow!) That's why today is the way it is :D

Came home, took relaxing shower, dinner, tv, comic to the n-th power + msn, and soon to relax w/ some facial care + a warm cup of tea + comfy warm comforter + the book i'm almost done:D

So talking about the book:
As I have set up in my goals sometime earlier (last month? --> I can't remember haha~), I decided to pick up reading.....I bought myself "Girl w/ a Pearl Earring" (Tracy Chevalier) last week..in fact Aug.2/06 at SFU bookstore...(b/c I experience the sudden goal to achieve my goals hehe:P, althu I admit it's a bad idea to start on novels wen finals are near ...o well ~)
And wow I'm almost done~

So in the beginning, I was simply attracted by the book cover (I knw...call me superficial haha)
As I begin the book...I was somewhat captured by the plot, thu I did find the writing a little plain and not wut I expected it to be --> filled w/ radiance , a "jewel of a novel"....
Haha~ here let me make this clear....I like fine things....fine writings in this case....my fav authors/poet are ppl like Jane Austen, Penelope Lively, Lord Byron....(so on so on) So I was a bit disappointed wen I didn't find Chevalier's writing to be beautiful~

But wen my excitement for the plot died down a little....I realized something about Chevalier's writing: they are like wine almost, the longer u keep (reading) the better!

I now particularly admires how she uses parallel imagery to describe the character's feelings. This particular image really comes alive to me:
"I slowed my pace. Year of hauling water, wringing out clothes, scrubbing floors, emptying chamberpots, with no chance of beauty or color or light in my life, stretched before mee like a landscape of flat land where, a long way off, the sea is visible but can naver be reached."

I am also very very fond how she uses puns and all other forms of play on words and sentences to describe the charcter's feelings (if only I could find where that perfect example went haha)
Her uses of short words and choppy sentences often create a silence in the novel where the message conveyed is understood and nothing more need to be said.......It is now this admiration which keep me attached to the novel so much! In fact I shall finish it tonite:D This shall be done haha~

haha....althu i seem to have 39 practice accting questions to do for today, i just have to blog to release some built up anger :P...

So ...i was taking my shower...and I started thinking about that Sociology final I just had today.....and resulted in... NOT A VERY RELAXING SHOWER!!! (in fact...I cant help but get more and more pissed...)

Well .....not quite time but...is time (yes..i knw i sound self-contradictory lol~)
Yes ^.^ Today is the last day of this awful summer semester which I procrastinated a whole lot and had to pay huge price (i.e. sleep deprived) the entire time for my procrastination......thank god...it's all over now...except 3 finals :D (which I shall study hard and make them my mark booster for that scholarship :) )

Anyhow...this is how I shall celebrate today..................(anticipation buidling) ----> SLEEPING ~
(Yes....doesn't sound that whole lot exciting to some ppl ...but it sure is exciting if anyone's at my stage....)
Indeed over the past week.....(w/ 2 huge thousands words paper and BUEC assignment and reading to catch up....), this is how my sleeping schedule has been...:

Sunday: slept at 5AM of the following Monday due to english paper and woke up at 9:30 AM to finish my paper + 2hrs of sleep on the bus => total = 6 1/2 hrs
Monday: slept at 2 AM Tuesday trying to do some accounting reading and finish the research stage of my Sociology paper and woke up at 7:30 AM for work + 2hrs of bus sleep => total = 7 1/2 hrs.
Tuesday: slept at 4AM Wednesday trying to finish Sociology essay that's due the day...woke up at 7:30 AM for work + 2 hrs of bus sleep => total = 5 1/2 hrs.
Wednesday: slept at 12: 30AM Thursday reading BUEC and feeling way too tired to continue ..woke up at 7:30 AM for work + 2hrs of bus sleep => total = 9 hrs.
Thursday: slept at 5AM Friday trying to finish the last bits of English essay that's due on the day...woke up at 7:30 AM for school + 2 hrs of bus sleep => total = 4 1/2 hrs.

As you guys can all see...my life hasnt been very health recently ..I wonder why lol~...so sleeping is one thing I shall do to celebrate the end of school...and of course...this will allow me to store beaucoup energy to start studying for finals :) (which are on 8, 10, 14)....
Looking from my very puny amt of sleep.....I say...if I need 7 1/2 hrs of sleep/day....I shall need extra 4 1/2 hrs of sleep to compensate for my lacking sleep in the past 5 days...and the normal 7 1/2 hrs of sleep for Friday alone.......so that is.....hehe 12 hrs:D....

So I shall, according to plan go to sleep at 10 PM today and wake up tomorrow at 10 AM or something like that :) ---> GOOD PLAN~ I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF !!
Anyhow...as to msn/facebook/more blogging/etc...I shall have to wait until after my study/sleep/house chores etc are done in order to attend...for the next week (at least till 14)......

GOTTA SLEEP NOW :) & TRY TO STAY HEALTHY (instead of killing myself w/ no sleep ..lol~)

I still haven't finished my readings...looks like I'll have to sleep late again tonight...however, I just cannot resist the urge to blog (due to not having blog for such a long time...there's just too much to tell..)

1) I relaxed yesterday ^__^

Went to Brentwood Mall afterschool to meet sis/dad for a family dinner...I did some shopping (meaningly: 2 pairs of shoes --> addidas runners + le chateau high heel...I'm pretty happy w/ these since I've been wanting to buy and budgeting for both of these for sometimes ..so pat on the back for me)

We went to family dinner w/ one of my dad's business friends who was super kind to bring me and my sis cell phones from China as presents lol~(thu I already have one and like mine more than that ...but still I'm so amazed by how much ppl are willing to give up for business haha & I definitely wonder if I would do the same things in the future....)

The day ended w/ me watching (and namely sleeping my way thru) Dracula 1992 and Dracula 2000 on Space Channel. Not that they're not interesting...just I'm way too tired..

In fact Dracula 1992 was actually quite interesting, due to beautiful KEANU REEVES & Winona Ryder, beautiful dresses, acceptable Dracula and romantic plot...I never knew Dracula is a romanian duke and knight in the fourteenth century, fighting for the church. He only became a vampire to see his love* again (*his love (played by Winona Ryder) thought he died in battle and thus commited suicide). And so as the plot goes...Dracula finds his love 4 centuries later and attempt to take her w/ him, despite her present fiance (Keanu Reeves). Anyhow, a tragedy...and Dracula was slained, but wow...I actually appreciated the film...it reminded me so much of Lit12 where we studied (beginning?) Romantic Era novels (Frankenstein & Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde which I read and Dracula which I never read)...it really is a romantic but gothic novel ...not just the love elements ....but also the great contrast between science and unexplainables..the battles to be fought w/ nature..the fantasy which explores human imagination....altogether making the piece such a beauty!!

So...when it came to Dracula 2000...gosh..what an awful movie by contrast T____T...first..I just can't believe Dracula = Juda Iscariot Q___Q (that fact just makes me scream...the way the plot/script is altered entirely makes this beautiful romantic era literature loses meaning)...And then...Dracula wants to be w/ his own daughter (I was really swearing by this point......it's just too grouse to imagine ack~)

So by the end of the two movies...althu tired, I was so pist..I just cant sleep anymore lol~ And so I spent some hours dwidling here and there...I even changed my self-pic on my facebook lol~ And finally (realizing it's 3AM...I literally forced myself to bed in order to get up in the morning for BMP orientation lol)

2) And then...watching Dracula reminds me of my dream :)
In the movie ..Dracula is the girl's lover from past life.....and the girl will continuously dream about her past life and Dracula...until she finally meets Dracula....this makes me think about past life in general...in fact, I do believe in past life b/c how else can anyone explain why and how some dreams are just so clear, so repetitious and so touching...but at the same time so unexplanable...
I used to have this dream (well actually more than one dream....but they all connect together) all the time...medieval ....europe...queen....dukes...prince....chosen bride...escape...nights...full moon...(sounds almost like a fairy tale)....thu they all connect together..I never seems to wake up and remember the full details.....

But what catches me the most is that....there will always be this scene (I call it scene now..since it's almost like a play to me) where it's a full moon night....I'm sitting on an open grass field and staring at the moon....I look really young....possibly 15 or 16....on me...there's colorful medieval clothing w/ precious gems and beads....Far away walks near someone of power (possibly a prince/duke?) w/ black cloak ...he speaks to his followers..giving instructions....they leave...he takes a few more steps toward me....stops and watches me..... his eyes sparkling in the moon light....I turn my head ....see him and smile joyfully...

Then I would wake up....I would never remember his face....but only his figure and his eyes...but I would always feel like crying upon waking up....Sometimes I really wanto know what happened afterward....(if I'm so happy in the dream...why would I be so sad after I wake up??) When ever I have this dream...I would always be depressed for a few days....but now althu I'm so anxious to know what happened...I'm actually pretty glad I haven't had the dream for sometime (mainly b/c I'm too tired to have dreams lol~~)

3) At BMP orientation today....we did a team-building what not game...where we had to find about 12 items around campus....(i.e. U-Pass, license ...not super hard...) But what surprised me was...we had to find a family photo....and amazingly no one NO ONE (out of like 30 ppl ) actually keep family photo in their wallet or even w/ them....not even me....

This just came by me by surprise...and makes me think Sociology...what's happening to our society really?? Is family relations starting to degrade so much that even university students (most likely from less problematic families) don't even value family relations anymore....? Thu this is a hard question to dissect...but this idea made me realize the importance of family....and the meaning of having a family photo w/ me always.....So I decided ..from now on..I shall put a family photo in my wallet lol~

4) Talking about family photo also made me realize....man..I miss my mom >.< and she won't be back till like 2 weeks later ( so after my finals).... Tears****

Anyhow...I am rily gonna go study..or else...I would die...I really do wonder if I'll be able to sleep at all tonite....trying to finish the gigantic amount of readings.....(tears*)
Stupid readings....if it's not b/c of them...I could have gone to 1) fireworks w/ my family 2) concert w/ highschool friends ....:P
